It may only takes minutes to cast and collect the votes but it can takes hours to get an outcome. Some organisation’s have to wait around for the result, but now with our Live Tally software and interactive keypad system the result will be out in minutes.
The Preferential Election Settings in the software determine the calculation methods for both single-seat (electing 1 candidate) and multi-seat (electing more than 1 candidate). Preferential voting requires participants to select all of the candidates in order of preference. Once the selection is complete, Live-Tally begins a cycle of dropping candidates and re-allocating votes based on participant preference, in the same manner that would be done manually.
